YPulse

YPulse Privacy Policy

Effective date: 28 September 2026.

Who operates YPulse

YPulse is operated by Nuturuzabhit Milozufunaj. For support or a privacy request, contact rundusubza@icloud.com.

Account and workout information

YPulse creates a technical account for your installation. The backend stores its identifier, authentication information, your profile name, weekly goal, maximum heart rate, avatar if supplied, and profile settings.

When you save a run, we process its timing, distance, pace, selected goal, route and location accuracy, starting place, and associated fitness statistics. Heart-rate readings and zone statistics are included when available from your connected monitor. We store an optional run photo or voice note when you choose to save it.

Running Circle, invitations, challenges, and relays use account relationships, invitation records, participation, and progress. Circle participants may see your profile name, avatar, weekly distance, and relevant relay-leg information. Your run routes, run photos, and voice notes are not shared with other participants.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the backend stores an APNs device token and installation identifier linked to your account, with delivery environment, language, app version, notification authorization state, and registration timestamps. These support notifications about circle activity, completed challenges, and invitations. Notification text does not contain routes, heart-rate readings, media, names, or invitation tokens.

You can turn notifications off in iOS Settings. YPulse synchronizes permission changes when it becomes active. Account deletion and invalid delivery tokens also remove registrations. A notification already accepted for delivery may still arrive.

Analytics

YPulse uses AppMetrica to understand app use and technical behavior. It processes information about installations, launches and sessions, and device/app characteristics such as software version and screen resolution. Analytics information can include identifiers associated with an app installation or device; we do not describe it as anonymous merely because a person's name is absent.

With your permission through Apple's tracking prompt, AppMetrica uses your advertising identifier (IDFA) to attribute installations and measure the effectiveness of YPulse promotion. This is tracking: the identifier can link information from YPulse with advertising-attribution information from other companies. You can decline or withdraw tracking permission in iOS Settings. YPulse updates its IDFA setting when the app becomes active again. Declining does not prevent use of YPulse; ordinary app analytics continues without IDFA.

YPulse disables AppMetrica location tracking and automatic revenue tracking. YPulse does not send its run routes, heart-rate records, media or address book to AppMetrica.

Provider information: AppMetrica privacy information.

Information used on your device

Address-book access is used to select an invitation recipient in the system SMS composer; the address book is not uploaded to YPulse. Device authentication is handled by iOS; YPulse does not receive your biometric template. You can change permissions in iOS Settings. Selected photos and recordings are separate from broad access to a photo library or microphone.

Purposes and providers

Information is used to operate your account, save runs and media, calculate progress, provide circle and relay features, deliver requested notifications, and understand app use. Yandex Cloud provides backend computing, database, and private object storage. Apple provides APNs notification delivery. AppMetrica provides analytics and, with tracking permission, installation attribution and promotion measurement. Profile and circle information is shared with participants as described above.

The app does not sell account or workout data to advertising companies.

Our Yandex Cloud backend and database are hosted in Russia. Providers may process information in other countries under their service and privacy terms. Network requests also involve technical information, such as an IP address and request metadata, needed to deliver and maintain the service.

If you email support, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond to your request and retain relevant correspondence for handling the request and related follow-up or legal obligations.

Retention and deletion

Active account and saved workout information is retained while the account exists and is needed to provide the service. Use Profile → Delete Account to delete the active account and associated saved records and user media. This does not promise immediate erasure from backups or third-party analytics systems.

Notification registrations are renewed with app use and excluded from delivery after 30 days without renewal. Expired registrations are physically removed on the next successful device-registration request, so an idle system can retain them longer. Notification events are not kept in a durable queue. APNs expiration is up to 24 hours, or the end of the current UTC week for a challenge notification.

The configured YDB database backup policy creates daily backups with a seven-day retention period. Previously created backups may contain deleted account records until those backups expire. The operator does not create additional copies or exports of user data. Deleting the active account does not immediately erase existing backups.

Analytics and service logs are stored separately from YPulse account records. In-app account deletion does not automatically delete information held in AppMetrica or erase service logs. For a request about those records, contact rundusubza@icloud.com. The seven-day database-backup period does not describe their retention. The Cloud Logging group used by our gateway and backend is configured to retain logs for three days.

For AppMetrica, the provider’s published privacy policy describes retention according to the processing purpose and applicable legal requirements, rather than a single fixed period for every record. We do not promise automatic deletion of analytics data after seven days or when you delete your YPulse account. Contact us about requests concerning this data.

Your choices and requests

You can change available profile settings, choose whether to add optional media, control permissions in iOS Settings, and delete your account in the app. For requests about access, correction, or deletion, contact rundusubza@icloud.com. Describe the issue without sending passwords, authentication tokens, or private keys. Depending on the law applicable to you, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, or a complaint to a data protection authority. Contact us to exercise applicable rights. Withdrawing a device permission prevents its further use by the related feature but does not itself delete previously saved data.

Changes

We will publish updates on this page and revise the effective date when the policy changes.
